AZCREW begins 2021 with leadership team of new officers and directors; Colliers’ Lindsey Carlson named President

PHOENIX, ARIZ. – AZCREW has elected the officers and directors that will lead Metro Phoenix’s premier women’s real estate organization’s in 2021.

AZCREW focuses on the advancement and success of women within the commercial real estate industry through leadership, professional relationships, education and excellence. AZCREW is part of the national CREW network.

The 2021 officers are Lindsey Carlson, Colliers International, President; Heather Cox, CBRE, supporting MUFG Union Bank, N.A., President Elect; Amy Ferrari, Mode Commercial Real Estate Management, Treasurer; Samantha Pinkal, City of Surprise, Secretary; and Terry Martin-Denning, CEO/Designated Broker, NAI Horizon, Immediate Past President.

“We have assembled strategic board members with innovative ideas to propel AZCREW’s vision of elevating women in commercial real estate with impactful programming, DEI efforts and the hopes of offering in-person networking opportunities,” Carlson said. “We are grateful to Terry for her leadership in 2020, a year like none other and are looking forward to 2021.”

AZCREW’s 2021 directors are Jenny Liles, Cushman & Wakefield, Membership; Lauren Borgeson, Mark-Taylor Companies, PR Chair; Michelle Rutkowski, MOR Studio, Special Events; and Jessi Levin, HDR, Inc., Foundation Champion.

AZCREW’s strategies include maintaining and strengthening the current membership base of more than 165 members, focusing on quality, diversity and member engagement by continuing to offer high quality, relevant programs and events to enhance membership value. AZCREW will continue to support CREW Foundation and its initiatives and promote and communicate AZCREW leadership opportunities.

Some of AZCREW’s 2020 highlights:

  • Maintained membership levels and ensured wellbeing of its members;
  • Released 2020 CREW Network Benchmark Study: Gender and Diversity in Commercial Real Estate
  • Pivoted to Zoom with local and national panels, virtual tours, its Woman Icon event (Lindsay Moellenberndt) and professional development program, Building an Extraordinary Team.
  • Virtual networking opportunities including joint events with CREW Tucson and CREW Inland Empire, sponsored spotlight coffees and book club;
  • Participated in CREW Leadership Summits: Leadership Training, Networking and Knowledge Exchange;
  • Donated more than $5,500 to its charity partner New Pathways for Youth despite not having the annual Golfiesta Golf Tournament.

Phoenix light industrial building sells for $14.25M

JLL Capital Markets closed the sale of the fully leased property to STAG Industrial, Inc.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA– JLL Capital Markets announced today that it has closed the $14.25 million sale of a 104,352-square-foot, fully leased, single-tenant light industrial building in the Phoenix-area community of Chandler, Arizona.

JLL Capital Markets marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Cohen Asset Management, Inc. An affiliate of Boston-based STAG Industrial, Inc. purchased the asset.

The property is triple net leased to Phoenix Packaging Operations, LLC, a subsidiary of Grupo Phoenix, which has been one of the leading manufacturers of injection-molded plastic packaging, thermoformed products, foil lidding and extruded barrier packaging in Latin America for the last 20 years. Originally constructed in 2000, the tenant has made significant improvements to the building in both 2011 and 2017, including installing two additional cranes. Additional property features are a 28-foot clear height, ESFR sprinklers, five dock-high doors, four grade-level doors, low office finish and ample parking.

Situated on 8.51 acres at 464 E. Chilton Dr., the building is between U.S. 60, State Route 87, Loop 101 and Loop 202 Freeways, providing easy access to the Southwest Valley, the entire metro Phoenix area and the greater California region. It is also within the Chandler/Mesa Industrial submarket, a central industrial hub proximate to two area airports, and within the Chandler Enterprise Zone, which allows qualified businesses tax benefits.
