Family-Owned Multifamily Real Estate Firm Creates New Position to Assist with Development Pipeline

Scottsdale, Ariz. – P.B. Bell, a leader in multifamily housing development, management and acquisitions, recently hired Kimberly Morey to fill its brand new position of operations manager & corporate counsel.

In her new role, Morey is responsible for assisting with all development, construction, and acquisitions for P.B. Bell, as well as assisting general counsel on purchase and sale agreements, title and survey review, closings, easements, and entitlements. This new position was created to help with the flow of the high volume of developments in P.B. Bell’s pipeline.

Prior to P.B. Bell, Morey worked within commercial brokerage, as well as worked at Store Capital, Dignity Health and served as deputy commissioner of the Arizona State Land Department. Morey received her master’s degree in real estate development from Arizona State University, her Bachelor of Arts in political science, journalism and German from Southern Methodist University, and her juris doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law.

TUCSON, ARIZONA — the leadership of the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society (TGMS) have announced that they are cancelling their 2021 show. The TGMS portion of the annual Tucson “Gem Show” has been the flagship event every year since 1955. The announcement of the cancellation is yet another example of how fear of COVID-19 has inflicted significant detrimental impacts on our community.

TGMS has been the people’s Gem Show. Each year they host educational exhibits that attract school groups, families and many of our winter visitors. While other shows focus on the sale of high-end gems, TGMS has remained true to its initial goal of being the local show, run by local volunteers, and geared to the local public. Theirs is a unique audience among the various vendors who comprise the annual event. Given the character and demographics of the event, it is to their great credit that TGMS leadership expressed the sincere concern over not wanting to play a role in spreading coronavirus back out into the community, possibly resulting in significant illness or death.

TUCSON, ARIZONA — Debbie Heslop CCIM of VOLK Company represented the seller, Prince Road Professional Plaza, LLC, in the sale of an approximately 4,000-square-foot parcel with approximately 3,625-square-feet of medical building improvements at 2028 East Prince Road in Tucson to Transformational Medicine, PLLC (Dr. Zach Saber, member) for $429,100 ($118 PSF).

The buyer plans to occupy it as a Naturopathic Medical Practice. Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) concentrate on whole patient wellness through health promotion and disease prevention, while addressing the underlying cause of the patient’s condition. Naturopathic physicians care for patients of all ages and genders.

The property was purchased with an SBA Loan and went under contract on March 23rd at the start of the COVID shutdown and closed on October 1^st Due to unexpected delays caused by the COVID pandemic and processing for permits with the City the transaction took six months for completion.

A second transaction, handled by Joey Castillo and Jeramy Price of VOLK Company occurred at 2713 N Campbell Avenue in Tucson. The 4,830-square-foot building sits on a 15,594-square-foot lot and was formerly occupied by Sign Age that sold the business and property to Sign Up Sign Services of Tucson (Kelly & Tim Sollenberger, members), the sellers.

The retail asset fetched $420,000 ($87 PSF) and closed on September 21.

The buyer, Edmund Marquez, owns the ALL State Insurance office next door at 2719 N Campbell and purchased the property to renovate for lease to a single tenant.

Castillo and Price handled both sides of the transaction and have been contracted to lease the building.
