Rapidly expanding industrial corridor slated to receive new power switching yard and substation to address growing power needs in Casa Grande’s West Industrial area.

Casa Grande, Ariz. (June 11, 2024) – A recently purchased 80-acre parcel in Casa Grande will become a new power switching yard and substation, extending capacity and services to the Casa Grande West Industrial area.

Casa Grande’s industrial sector has seen a significant increase in industrial users and developers in recent years as the manufacturing industry and related suppliers relocate or expand to the area. This influx, which includes Lucid Motors, Kohler and an array of semiconductor supply chain and electric vehicle manufacturer suppliers, is creating additional demand for power. This new site will address the area’s growing power needs.

Kirk McCarville, CCIM, and Trey Davis with Land Advisors Organization’s Casa Grande office facilitated the sale. The team represented both the buyer and the seller, Vernon Lester Barnes and Patricia Barnes of Casa Grande.

“We’ve been working to bring new industrial users to Casa Grande and Pinal County in coordination with city and county leaders,” said Davis. “This new energy facility helps to guarantee the future of power for Casa Grande’s industrial sector and supports our ongoing efforts to further our city’s economic growth.”

Over the past several years, Casa Grande has been attracting major national and international manufacturers looking to expand or relocate to Arizona’s Silicon Desert. Land Advisors Organization has facilitated bringing many companies to the area, such as Lucid Motors, Kohler, Chang Chun Chemical and Air Products, KPPC Advanced Chemicals, NRS Logistics America, and Jing He Sciences. There is tremendous interest from manufacturers, semiconductor supply chain and electric vehicle manufacturer suppliers as well as others with rail distribution needs to have facilities in the area. Casa Grande’s population has doubled since 2000, making it the largest city and tax base in Pinal County.
