Yanet Sanchez, ABA Apprenticeship Coordinator

PHOENIX, Arizona – The Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA) has announced Yanet Sanchez as the association’s apprenticeship coordinator. In this role, Sanchez will handle the program’s administrative duties, including the coordination of enrollment, orientation, fundraising events, grants and increased member involvement.

The ABA’s apprenticeship program is the second largest program in the state that currently serves nearly 500 students that are on their way to earning journey man status as electricians, heavy equipment operators or heavy equipment diesel mechanics. They will significantly and positively impact the state’s labor shortage.

According to Fred Ingersoll, the ABA’s director of apprenticeship and training, Yanet will have a thorough understanding of “what the ABA/AGC Education Trust does and the organizations and individuals that we have strong relationships with.” He added that her energetic personality and helpful attitude will improve the organization’s efficiency and allow for more training opportunities.

Yanet says that she is most looking forward to seeing each of the apprentices grow over the next few years. “I’m eager to be a resource to students, and to help them earn the certification that they clearly desire,” she said.

Sanchez was born in Pasadena, Calif., but grew up in Arizona. For more information about the available apprenticeships, please refer to www.azbuilders.org.
