CBRE has completed a 5,000-square-foot office lease at 8950 N. Oracle Rd. in Oro Valley, AZ at the Pulte Homes’ Building. Capstone Mining Corp’s subsidiary, Pinto Valley Mining Corp., will open a new office to support the recently acquired Pinto Valley Mine.

Jeff Casper and David Montijo with CBRE’s Tucson office represented Vancouver, BC, Canada-based Capstone. The sublandlord, Cirrus Logic, Inc. of Austin, Texas, was represented by John Childers (Austin, Texas) and Keith Lammersen (Phoenix, AZ) with Jones Lang LaSalle.

“The addition of a company like Capstone Mining Corp., which has a global presence and brand, is a great acquisition for the Southern Arizona office market,” said CBRE’s Casper.

Capstone took occupancy of the 5,000-square-foot space on the second floor of 8950 N. Oracle Rd. in October.

Capstone Mining Corp. purchased the Pinto Valley mine and the associated San Manuel Railroad Company (SMARRCO) from BHP Copper Inc., in early October for $650 million. Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mining operation located east of Phoenix in the Globe-Miami district of Arizona. SMARRCO owns and operates a 29.2-mile railway from San Manuel to Hayden, Ariz.

Casper and Montijo can be reached in CBRE’s Tucson office at (520) 323-5100. Lammersen is at (602) 282-6276 in Phoenix.
