TUCSON, AZ (May 21, 2026) — The former Takamatsu restaurant property at 5532 E. Speedway Blvd. in Tucson has sold and is expected to be remodeled and reopened under a new name as an Asian buffet-style restaurant.

The transaction closed May 11 and included both the restaurant property at 5532 E. Speedway Blvd. and the residential property immediately south of it at 5543 E. First St. The restaurant property sold for $1,747,000, while the house sold for $200,000, bringing the combined transaction value to $1,947,000.

Cameron Lee and David Lee of David Lee Real Estate Company represented the seller, Junghoon Properties, associated with the Koga family, longtime operators of Takamatsu. Dave Dutson of NAI Horizon represented the buyer.

The Koga family operated Takamatsu for decades and listed the property for sale last year after deciding to move on from the restaurant ownership business. The family expressed appreciation to the Tucson community for its support over the years.

Peter Koga, son of the original founders and manager of the restaurant, said the family is grateful for the many customers who supported Takamatsu throughout its long history in Tucson.

Takamatsu had long been a recognizable restaurant presence along Speedway Boulevard, serving generations of Tucson customers and contributing to the city’s diverse Asian dining scene. The sale marks the end of one chapter for the Koga family and the beginning of a new restaurant use for the Speedway property.

IOS Southwest Acquires Tucson Contractor Yard Near I-10 for $1.45 Million

IOS Southwest

TUCSON, AZ (May 20, 2026) — IOS Southwest has completed the acquisition of an industrial outdoor storage property at 3200 W. Diamond Street in Tucson for $1,450,000.

Located just off Ruthrauff Road in Tucson’s highly sought-after Northwest industrial market, the approximately 0.98-acre site offers immediate access to Interstate 10 and features a fully concrete-paved yard designed for industrial outdoor storage use.

IOS Southwest

The property includes two industrial buildings totaling approximately 5,920 square feet. Both buildings were constructed in 1999 and feature 14-foot clear heights and grade-level roll-up doors. The site is positioned near national operators, including United Rentals and Big Tex Trailers, reinforcing the strength of the surrounding industrial tenancy and demand drivers.

Following the acquisition, the property is being offered for lease. The site presents a rare opportunity for tenants seeking a turnkey contractor yard in a supply-constrained submarket. Its combination of a large paved yard, I-1 zoning allowing outdoor storage, freeway access, and I-10 visibility makes it particularly attractive to IOS users seeking outdoor storage and efficient truck access.

Max Fisher with BRD Realty handled the transaction and will also oversee leasing for the property.

Jim Click Property Sales Mark End of a Tucson Automotive Legacy

Jim Click

TUCSON, AZ (May 19, 2026) — A series of recorded real estate sales tied to the Jim Click Automotive Team marks one of the largest automotive dealership portfolio transfers in Southern Arizona, with 12 Tucson-area properties selling for a combined $92,911,514.

The transaction also marks the end of a defining chapter in Tucson business history. For more than five decades, the Jim Click name has been closely associated with Southern Arizona’s automotive market, civic life, and philanthropic community. The sale represents a generational transition for one of Tucson’s most recognizable dealership groups and one of the region’s best-known business families.

The properties were sold primarily by CT Properties LLC, c/o Jim Click Family Trust, and Jim Click – JVBM Properties LLC. The buyers were Gee RE Arizona of Milwaukie, Oregon, with Ryan Gee, manager.

The sales coincide with Gee Automotive Companies’ acquisition of 15 dealerships from Jim Click Automotive Team and Tuttle-Click Automotive Group, effective April 28, 2026. Gee Automotive Companies described the acquisition as an expansion of its dealership platform across Southern Arizona and Southern California. The company is headquartered in Spokane, Washington, and was founded in 1983 by George Gee as a single Pontiac dealership.

Public records show 12 property sales recorded in the Southern Arizona portion of the transaction. The broader dealership acquisition includes a total of 15 dealerships: nine in Southern Arizona and six Tuttle-Click dealerships in Southern California. The California dealership operations were not part of the Pima County real estate filings reviewed for this report.

The Jim Click Automotive Team has operated in Tucson since 1971. Over that period, the company became more than a dealership group; it became part of Tucson’s commercial identity, with a long-running presence at the Tucson Auto Mall, along East 22nd Street, on South Wilmot Road and in Green Valley/Sahuarita. Local reporting described Click as moving into his “next chapter,” though it did not characterize the move as retirement.

The 12 real estate transactions include dealerships, service, storage, and commercial land properties at the Tucson Auto Mall, along East 22nd Street, on South Wilmot Road, and in Green Valley/Sahuarita. The portfolio includes roughly 429,054 square feet of building area and approximately 67.03 acres.
