TUCSON, AZ (December 12,  2024) — The Tucson Industrial Development Authority (IDA) bought the 600 S. Meyer Ave. office building in Barrio Viejo for $2.5 million ($219 PSF). This will be the new home to the Tucson Industrial Development Authority’s Avanza Program, which supplies loans to small business owners underserved in the banking industry.

The seller, Haley & Aldrich of Burlington, MA, renovated the building as a solar-powered office after buying it for $900,000 in 2007.  The 11,429-square-foot building was initially constructed in 1933.

Gordon Wagner, Justin Lanne, and Mike Chapman of NAI Horizon handled the sale on behalf of both buyer and seller.

The seller occupied the building and will continue to temporarily lease back 1,900 square feet of space on the second floor from the buyer.

SAHUARITA, AZ (December 9th, 2024) — National homebuilder, Lennar, has closed its second community in Rancho Sahuarita’s next phase of residential development, Entrada Del Toro, for $6.8 million ($85,000 per lot) on December 3, 2024.

TUCSON, AZ (December 10, 2024) — Dave Volk of VOLK Company represented DAS, TWW, Habibi, Calico, and AIT LLC’s in the $1,430,000 ($217 PSF) sale of the office building complex located at 70-78 W. Cushing and 325 S. Convent in downtown Tucson.

The four urban parcels, together, contain 6,599 square feet in two historic buildings built in 1910 on 20,859 feet of land. Primavera Foundation purchased the renovated property, represented by Buzz Isaacson of CBRE, Inc.

The transaction occurred on November 22, 2024.

Primavera plans to owner-occupy both buildings for administrative offices for the foundation.

Since 1983, the Primavera Foundation has focused on addressing the root causes of homelessness, including services such as shelters and intervention and prevention programs.

City leaders, clergy, and Tucson community members will join the Primavera Foundation and hundreds of communities across the U.S. to commemorate the lives of those who died without a safe place to call home.

As part of National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, community members are invited to attend the annual ceremony from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at Paupers’ Field at Evergreen Cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Road, Tucson. The memorial will feature music selections, reflections, prayers, and a reading of names.
