RETAIL – 2670 E. GERMANN RD., CHANDLER
Brian & Tom Woods- Colliers International, represented Vestar Development on a 5 year lease with Dollar Tree at Crossroads Towne Center (2670 E. Germann Road, Chandler, AZ, 85249) for 8,480-square-feet.  Kurt Kalocin of SRS Real Estate Partners represented the Tenant.

RETAIL – 8698 E. RAINTREE DRIVE, SCOTTSDALE
Brian & Tom Woods- Colliers International, represented UMBRAL 2, LLC on a multi-year lease with Ski Pro at Shops at Raintree & 101, 8698 E. Raintree Drive, Suite 102, Scottsdale, AZ, 85260 for 8,331-square-feet.  Stan Sanchez with DeRito Partners represented the Tenant.

RETAIL – UNIVERSITY 101 SHOPS, TEMPE
A retail lease for 6,926-square-feet at University 101 Shops at 101 & University Dr in Tempe, Arizona to Lower Gear Outdoor’s was recently consummated. The owner of the center is 2155 E. University, LLC. Jared Lively of Rein & Grossoehme represented the Landlord and the Tenant on this transaction.

RETAIL – 401 E. BELL RD., PHOENIX
Brian & Tom Woods- Colliers International, represented Nexus Development on a 10 year lease with Maurices at Bell Towne Centre, 401 E. Bell Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85022 for 5,299-square-feet.  Tim Gunnink at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the Tenant.

RETAIL – 13390 W. VAN BUREN ST., GOODYEAR
A lease for 4,582-square-feet in Central Square Shopping Center to Flex AZ was recently consummated.  The location of the property is 13390 W. Van Buren Street in Goodyear, Arizona.  Richard Mackay of Rein & Grossoehme represented the owner and Drew Stone of NAI Horizon represented the tenant.

RETAIL – 15505 – 15507 N. SCOTTSDALE RD., SCOTTSDALE
A lease for 4,549-square-feet in Zocallo Plaza was recently signed with Classy Closets.  The property is located at 15505-15507 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Arizona.  The owner of the center is Enright Zocallo LP. Jake Ertle of Rein & Grossoehme represented the owner and Grafton Milne of Menlo Group represented the tenant.

RETAIL – 40th ST. & THUNDERBIRD RD., PHOENIX
A retail lease for 3,850-square-feet at Paradise Square at 40th St & Thunderbird Rd in Phoenix, Arizona to Paradise Valley School of Karate was recently consummated. The owner of the center is Manatee Investments III, LLC. Jared Lively of Rein & Grossoehme represented the Landlord and the Tenant on this transaction.

RETAIL – 8698 E. RAINTREE DRIVE, SCOTTSDALE
Brian & Tom Woods- Colliers International, represented UMBRAL 2 LLC on a 7.5 year lease with Enterprise Bank & Trust at The Shops at Raintree & 101, 8698 E. Raintree Drive, Suite 104, Scottsdale, AZ, 85260, for 3,263-square-feet.  Andrew Cheney of Lee & Associates represented the Tenant.

A lease for 3,200-square-feet in The District at the Airpark Center was recently signed with Sun Mountain Door.  The property is located at 15551 N. Greenway-Hayden Loop in Scottsdale, Arizona.  The owner of the center is K2H Airpark Design, LLC. Steve Grossoehme and Jake Ertle of Rein & Grossoehme represented the owner and Adrienne Bryant of Bryant Commercial represented the tenant.

A lease for 1,120-square-feet in Central Square Shopping Center to Zia Nutrition was recently consummated.  The location of the property is 13370 W Van Buren St in Goodyear, Arizona. Richard Mackay of Rein & Grossoehme represented the owner and the tenant.

A lease for 1,120-square-feet in Century Square to McPhie Law was recently consummated.  The location of the property is 430 N Dobson Road in Mesa, AZ.  The owner of the center is Warren Hall. Richard Mackay of Rein & Grossoehme represented the owner and the tenant.

Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter to Open Thrift Store

Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter has leased a 2,000-square-foot retail space at 4613 East Speedway in Tucson for its new Hermitage Thrift Store & More. The new store, located in the Sprouts shopping plaza, is scheduled to open February 8th.

Tucson has been the proud home of the Hermitage Cat Shelter for over 48-years as the first “no-kill” shelter in Arizona.  Hermitage is both an adoption facility and long-term sanctuary for felines who are “adoption-challenged” due to FIV and other types of chronic health issues. The shelter is located at 5278 East 21st Street in Tucson.

All proceeds from the thrift store will go to benefit the 200 plus cats who call the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter home.  In addition to clothes, electronics, books and other gently used items, The Hermitage is looking for donations of household items for the store including:

  • Hangers
  • Plastic Bags
  • Shelving units
  • Computers
  • Garbage Bags
  • Markers
  • Counters
  • Display cases
  • Pens
  • Calculators (with tape)
  • Clothes racks

“We are also looking for volunteers to help set up the store, price items, sort clothes and help clean,” Lee Bucyk, Executive Director at Hermitage told us. Opening a store is a big job, but with the enthusiasm and support of the community for the project, the Thrift Store will become a success and help to care for Hermitage’s numerous dependents.

Mark Biery, CCIM, with Prudential Foothills Commercial Real Estate handled the lease transaction for tenant and landlord, Roso, LLC of Sherman Oaks, CA. And as the part the deal, Biery negotiated a beautiful little gray kitten by the name of Colette for himself to take home.
