Center for Neurosciences Plans Expansion at TMC Campus

TUCSON, AZ (November 14, 2023) – Neuron Craycroft, an affiliate of Center for Neurosciences, bought 5.72 acres of vacant land at 5462 E Glenn Street in Tucson for $2.5 million ($9.90 PSF) from TMC Holdings for the construction of a new Medical Office building and Ambulatory Surgery Center with a parking structure to be owner-occupied by Center for Neurosciences.

The Center for Neurosciences is home to Southern Arizona’s largest and longest-standing group practice for treating neurological disorders. It aims to provide the highest quality of neurological care.

Its multispecialty group, which includes Neurosurgery, Adult Neurology, Pediatric Neurology, Neuro-Oncology, Interventional Pain Management, Radiation Oncology, Neurotology, Audiology, and Inpatient Neurology, offers complete neurological care to patients of all ages, from infancy through adulthood.

The origins of the Center for Neurosciences date back to 1950, when Tucson’s first neurosurgeon, Juan Fonseca, MD, opened his practice and began working with Charles Elkins, MD. In 1963, George William Nash, MD, joined their group, Neurological Associates of Tucson. The group continued under that name until 2006, when they joined forces with Pediatric Neurology Associates to form the Center for Neurosciences. Today, it strives to honor the commitment to quality care that has been at the heart of our practice for 60 years.

The lot is zoned PAD-16 as a Tucson Medical Center Pad. The date for construction to begin is still to be determined.
