Global glass leader renews 200,000 s.f. at Lincoln Property Company’s Buckeye 75

PHOENIX, Arizona – After completing a site selection search spanning the U.S. and Mexico, leading glass manufacturer Pilkington North America has opted to remain in Phoenix, renewing a 200,000-square-foot, long-term lease for its Western U.S. distribution center at Buckeye 75 Distribution Park, owned and managed by Lincoln Property Company (LPC).

Pilkington’s Buckeye 75 location serves as a major distribution hub for products including laminated and toughened glass for the automotive glass replacement market. Across North America, Pilkington manufacturers and markets glass and glazing products for the architectural and automotive markets.

Michael Haenel of Cushman & Wakefield represented Pilkington in its lease negotiations. With the renewal, Buckeye 75 is 100 percent leased to a roster of stable tenants.

“Buckeye 75 provides a significant logisticial advantage for its tenants, placing them at the center of a very qualified labor and within minutes of major U.S. transportation routes,” said Lincoln Property Company Director of Real Estate John Orsak. “For a company like Pilkington, who conducts significant cross-border business, having quick and direct routes to Mexico and other major Western U.S. markets is essential.”

“Pilkington looked at a host of sites both in the U.S. and Mexico, but ultimately came back to Phoenix and Buckeye 75 for the build-out of the building itself and these critical supply chain advantages,” added Lincoln Property Company Executive Vice President David Krumwiede.

Located just off of Interstate 10 and 75th Avenue, at 7375 W. Buckeye Rd. in Phoenix, Buckeye 75 Distribution Park totals three buildings with up to 30-foot clear height, ESFR sprinklers, T-5 lighting, evaporative cooling, skylights and on-site trailer storage for large warehouse and distribution operations. It holds A-1 zoning with the City of Phoenix.
