Tucson, Arizona -- 5151 E. Broadway has implemented new protocols in an effort to ensure the safety of their building tenants and guests.

They’ve taken several measures, including the permanent implementation of the MERV 13 level filters in the HVAC system. MERV 13s proactively capture most microscopic particles from the air. This filter is typically used in medical settings. 5151’s 24-hour HVAC control system optimizes fresh air intake throughout the day, combining a mix of filtered fresh outside air and filtered air inside.

Touch-less restroom foot-operated door pedals have been installed in all restroom facilities, on 16 floors, allowing hands-free opening of bathroom doors. There is also a mandated, scheduled disinfection of restrooms and lobby door handles four times per workday.

The Destination Dispatch elevator system at 5151 provides for shortened travel times with occupancy restricted to a maximum of two people. It also reduces contact with public surfaces, as there are no buttons to touch inside the cab, and once the car is called at the Destination Dispatch kiosk, elevator travel is contactless.

Information on government-issued directives is delivered to tenants regularly. Property Management also requests their tenants and guests to be courteous by practicing social distancing, wearing a mask when entering and exiting the building, or outside an office suite. Hand sanitizer stations are in the main lobby, adjacent to the elevator kiosk, and at the lower level garage entrance.

Lobby furniture has been removed temporarily to encourage social distancing. New furniture program under review addresses social distancing protocols and enhanced aesthetics.
