GOODYEAR, Ariz. (January 10, 2025) – Consistent with the boom in the West Valley, excitement is building at Estrella as local dignitaries and families will gather for the groundbreaking ceremony of multiple new neighborhoods on Thursday, January 30, in the village of Montecito.
This special event is designed to be more than a typical groundbreaking. It will allow children to “Touch-A-Truck,” a hands-on experience with the earthmoving equipment that will help bring this vibrant community to life.
Estrella, one of the largest master-planned communities in the Southwest, is located in the bustling West Valley, in one of the fastest growing communities in the U.S. – Goodyear. This free event celebrates 508 new homesites coming to the Montecito village from national, award-winning homebuilders Lennar and Richmond American Homes.
Speakers and the official groundbreaking ceremony will kick off the event from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The “Touch-A-Truck” portion is scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m. and conclude at 5:30 p.m.
The event will take place at West Mountain Drive and 184th St. at Estrella in Goodyear. The event is free and features complimentary treats and giveaways for the kids including “kid-sized” hard hats and vests, and even free toy trucks. Treats will include “dirt cupcakes” and much more.
“Estrella is in growth mode. We've improved so much — added new parks, neighborhoods and so much more in 2024. But there's even more happening in 2025 as we prepare more than 500 new homesites coming to Montecito,” said Jeff Zimmerman, Vice President of Development for Estrella Development Company.
“These neighborhoods will have fantastic views and feature five brand new parks; not to mention access to our signature resident community centers, trails, pools, fitness centers, and A+ ranked schools. We have dedicated ourselves to making today's Estrella more vibrant, fresh, and rewarding for buyers than ever before. With the addition of these new neighborhoods, we’re excited by the momentum at Estrella.” Zimmerman added.
The new neighborhoods will offer a variety of home styles and floor plans to meet the diverse needs and preferences of modern singles, couples, and families.
Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Estrella Mountains south of I-10 in Goodyear, Estrella is adjacent to the 19,000-acre Estrella Regional Park. Residents have exclusive access to community amenities including two residents’ clubs with resort-style pools, fitness centers, restaurants, a water park area for kids, along with access to a public Championship 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course.
