PIMA COUNTY, (Feb. 12, 2025) - Pima Animal Care Center is hosting a special Valentine’s Day “Late Night Date Night” event Friday, Feb. 14, at the shelter, 4000 N. Silverbell Road. The event will feature free adoptions on all pets, giveaways for adopters, and extended hours, from noon to 8 p.m.
In addition, if visitors are looking for puppy love, PACC’s mobile adoption unit, the PACCmobile, will be stationed at the front of the shelter beginning at noon, full of adorable, adoptable puppies.
"Unconditional love is love offered for free. What a great combination of adopting a new family member who comes offering free and unconditional love, and taking them home for free," said PACC Director Steve Kozachik. "Valentine’s Day is all about love. We hope you carve out some time to visit us on that special day, find your new furry family member and begin what will be a life-long relationship. All of our dedicated staff will be thrilled to see you – and so will the pups and kittens."
All pets, including puppies and kittens, will be free to adopt at Friday’s event. All pets adopted from PACC are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations. PACC is currently at critical capacity and has more than 500 dogs and 100 cats available for adoption.
PACC’s normal hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 7 p.m., on Wednesday from 1:30 – 7 p.m., and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adult dogs may require a $20 licensing fee. To learn more about available PACC pets and services, please go to www.pima.gov/animalcare.
