Five Significant Tucson Office Leases – just north of 162,000 SF
The Tucson office market is ending November in a strong position. After a less than stellar first half of the year, the sector is heading toward the end of the year with sustainable momentum moving into 2016.“Given that in 2014 the office market had between 125,000- and 190,000-square-feet of positive absorption, depending on whose numbers you use, the recent increase in activity is both significant and encouraging,” Mark Irvin, office specialist told us.
In the largest office lease this quarter, the former MDA building was leased. Sunquest Information Systems will be moving from Williams Center to 3300 E Sunrise, having leased fully the 83,000-square-feet combined in both buildings.

Banner UMC has leased 40,000-square-feet at 535 N Wilmot for a Children’s Multi-Speicalty Center for adolescent and pediatric medicine.

Genesis OB-GYN has consolidated several smaller northwest medical practices in Tucson into a 15,000-square-foot single location at 6261 N La Cholla Blvd in Tucson.

Breault Research Organization (BRO) an optical engineering firm providing optical software products and training courses, will be moving into a 12,800-square-foot space at 4400 E Broadway Blvd in Tucson. BRO was one of the optical science pioneers in Tucson 25 years ago, and saw an opportunity to relocate more central when its lease expired at 6400 E Grant Road.

Tucson Orthopedic Institute will consolidate into the new TMC wing at 333 E Wetmore Road in Tucson. The 11,400-square-feet office space will be used for its administrative office. Tucson Orthopedic Institute’s three locations in the Tucson metro area will remain the same.
