Forestar continues strong acquisition activity in Tucson in 2021
TUCSON, ARIZONA — Forestar (USA) Real Estate Group Inc. closed on 136 Acres on south Sorrell Lane and Calle Torim for $6,270,000 ($46,100 per acre). The land was purchased from Sorrell 139, LLC (Larry Fink, Gary Lane).
The property is an infill site that is well positioned in the southwest Tucson submarket with easy access to Interstate 19 and Tucson’s main, growing employment core. The site is also within minutes from major, large scale retail services and projects along Valencia Road as well as Interstate 19. The purchase comes at a time when entitled lots in Tucson’s southwest submarket continue to be extremely hard to identify and secure.
Forestar has been very active in Tucson during 2021 with several purchases throughout the metro area.
