Freeberg Opens 160,000-Square-Foot Manufacturing Facility in Eloy
ELOY, Ariz. (Sept. 29, 2026) — Freeberg Industrial Fabrication has opened a 160,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 5610 N. Sunland Gin Road in Eloy, more than doubling the California company’s total footprint. The city celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting September 16.
The facility will assemble reciprocating engine power generation packages and other large-scale electromechanical systems. Freeberg manufactures sheet metal and structural steel components and provides cutting, forming, welding, painting and engineering services. Its Eloy plant adds capacity to handle the large, heavy components used in its products.
Freeberg has hired 40 employees in Eloy and expects to employ about 75 by the end of 2026 and 200 by the end of 2027. The company projects an investment of up to $12 million in equipment, facility improvements and related costs through 2027.
The Eloy operation extends Freeberg’s manufacturing presence beyond Escondido, California. Its location along Interstate 10 places it between the Phoenix and Tucson markets as the company expands service across the Southwest. Freeberg is part of Hill & Smith PLC and supplies engineered products for the data center, power generation and infrastructure markets.
