Greater Tucson Leadership Welcomes Snell & Wilmer Attorney Courtney Henson to Civic & Political Leadership Academy

TUCSON, ARIZONA – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Tucson associate Courtney Henson is one of 12 people who has been selected to participate in the second cohort of the Civic & Political Leadership Academy.

The academy, which was created as a partnership between Greater Tucson Leadership and the Rothschild Fund for Civic Innovation, provides a nonpartisan and robust means to educate community members on good governance and local politics. In addition, the academy aims to support class participants in their political leadership development, whether it is running for office, working as a campaign staffer or simply learning how to shape policy.

Henson focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, representing clients throughout the country on class actions and has worked with many of the region’s most prominent businesses. She has served on the Board of the Autism Society of Southern Arizona since 2013 and has worked on autism advocacy issues at the state level, frequently partnering with the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest. She is involved with the University of Arizona College of Law, the McCormick Society and the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, where she’s President-Elect and has served on its Steering Committee for seven years.

Since 2015, she has served on the Siblings in Foster Care Reunion Committee, which reunites siblings living in separate foster homes. Finally, Henson was a finalist for the 2020 Women of Influence Awards in the Rising Star category as well as ranked as a Best Lawyers in America®, Ones to Watch Edition.
