Hobby Lobby expands with 160,618 SF Retail Space in Southern Arizona

Tucson, Arizona – Popular retail arts and crafts supply chain Hobby Lobby has finalized plans to expand into three new locations in Southern Arizona with stores opening as soon as late 2017.

Hobby Lobby will open 50,213-square-feet at the Mariposa Mall Shopping Center in Nogales, AZ after interior construction is completed. This location will be the first store on the Arizona-Mexico border for Hobby Lobby.  Nancy McClure of CBRE and David Leathers of D.E. Johnson & Associates represented Hobby Lobby in the transaction. Pete Villaescusa and Jesse Peron of CBRE represented the landlord, Mariposa Mall Shopping Center LP, in the transaction.

Hobby Lobby’s second store in metropolitan Tucson has begun construction on 55,220-square-feet of anchor space at the Plaza Del Oro shopping center at the northeast corner of Oracle and Orange Grove roads, next to the new CVS.  CBRE Tucson’s Nancy McClure and David Leathers of D.E. Johnson & Associates represented Hobby Lobby in the transaction. The landlord, Plaza Del Oro, LLC, represented itself.  This store is planned to open 2Q2018.

Hobby Lobby has also cemented a 55,185-square-foot location which will open in mid-2018 at the northwest corner of I-19 and Irvington at the new Fashion Park Shopping Center. Nancy McClure of CBRE and David Leathers of D.E. Johnson & Associates represented Hobby Lobby in the transaction. The landlord, Irvington Interstate Partners, LLC, represented itself.
