TUCSON, AZ – The Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA) has moved to their new location at 635 West Roger Road, and Southern Arizonans came out Saturday to help them celebrate this momentous occasion.
“We are animal lovers and we’re here to see the new Humane Society grand opening. We’re excited to see the new facilities. I’m really trying not to adopt an animal, but it’s going to be hard,” says attendee Robin Willis.
“We’re very excited to have the community out and see our new home,” says Monique Conway, Public Relations Coordinator at HSSA. “This campus wouldn’t have been possible without the support we’ve received from Southern Arizonans.”
Attendees were treated to refreshments, tours of the new facility, music, kid’s activities, and even half off adoptions. HSSA estimates that that between 950 and 1,000 people came to the opening.
HSSA’s old location at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd. is officially closed, and the property has been put up for sale. If you missed the grand opening today, you are still invited to stop into the new location at 635 West Roger Road. Hours of operation can be found on their website at hssaz.org.
