Humane Society of Southern Arizona announces “Puttin’ on the Dog” Tail-a-thon Program

The hour-long television special that takes the place of the organization’s annual gala will air on multiple networks starting Saturday, October 10th 2020.

TUCSON, AZ – The Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA) has announced that in lieu of their annual in-person gala, “Puttin’ on the Dog”, they will instead broadcast an hour-long television program that viewers can enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

The program will include musical performances, auction items, and heartwarming stories about HSSA pets.
To help viewers feel like they are a part of the party, HSSA is selling “Party at Home” kits that supporters can purchase online. Kits include fun items like flasks, shot glasses, and assorted party accessories that tie into the gala’s original Roaring 20s theme.
HSSA’s Director of Development and Marketing & Communications Randy Peterson says, “It’s been a difficult year to plan our biggest fundraiser of the year, but we’re a creative team dedicated to helping pets in need, so putting together this telethon was an easy choice. People love to see cute pets, and love to learn how they can help our furry friends, and in this one hour broadcast they’ll get plenty of both.”
The Tail-a-Thon will air on October 10th at 7am on CW 58, at 11am on Fox 11, at 3pm on KGUN 9, at 4pm on KVOA, and at 4:30pm on CW 58. It will also air on October 11th at 5pm on Fox 11.
