GILBERT, ARIZONA – Hunter Contracting Co. is proud to announce that Dig Karki, P.E., has been elevated to the position of vice president.
Karki, who has been with Hunter for 12 years, was promoted from project sponsor. His new responsibilities will include focusing on maximizing Hunter’s operating performance and building strong teams with a goal to better serve the company’s clients.
Karki has worked in several roles within the company with one focus – customer satisfaction through collaboration. He continually strives for perfection, instilling Hunter’s core values: Build it Right, Accountability, Safety, Integrity, and Continuous Improvement in every project.
“Dig has excelled in every position he has held at Hunter and provides tremendous customer service to our clients,” said Hunter Contracting President Chuck English. “In addition, Dig is a great communicator that brings people together to solve problems, demonstrating the knowledge and experience to take on the challenges of our industry and help lead us in our future endeavors.”
A native of Nepal, Karki holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He started his professional career as a design engineer. Realizing that he enjoyed the construction aspects of projects, he joined the graduate program in construction at Arizona State University.
Karki graduated from ASU with a Master of Science degree in construction in 2003 and worked at numerous civil construction companies before joining Hunter in 2010. He is a member of the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association and the Associated General Contractors of America.
Away from the office, Karki enjoys spending time watching his son play soccer at one of the Valley parks he has built. Karki also enjoys traveling with his family and reading.
