TUCSON, AZ (March 27, 2024) – Are you ready to shape the future of transportation in Pima County? Join CREW Tucson on April 18 at 11:30 am as they delve into what's next with RTA Next! This engaging event will feature Amanda Bruno, who will provide insights into RTA Next, a pivotal public input process to develop a new regional transportation plan for the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) of Pima County.
The current voter-approved 20-year RTA plan and the countywide half-cent sales tax are set to expire on June 30, 2026. In response, the RTA is diligently working on finalizing a draft of a new 20-year regional transportation plan, RTA Next. This initiative seeks to bolster our economic future by utilizing locally collected and directed funds to address transportation priorities across the greater Tucson region, catering to the everyday needs of our community.
"We're thrilled to have Amanda Bruno join us to shed light on RTA Next and its implications for our region," said Rosemary Bright, CREW Tucson President. "This event is an excellent opportunity to share insights in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure in Pima County."
