Lisa Suarez Recognized by NAR for Commitment to Homeownership
TUCSON, Arizona – The Realtors® Political Action Committee (RPAC) – a national bipartisan grassroots-based political advocacy organization – has added another name to its “Hall of Fame.” Lisa Suarez, a Realtor® from Tucson Association of REALTORS®, was inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame recently in recognition of her contribution and support.
“RPAC is there to help shape the future of our industry,” said Suarez, a REALTOR® and Designated Broker for EMS Realty . “I’m proud to be a part of the Hall of Fame, and even prouder to have been a supporter all these years. RPAC funds ensure issues facing the real estate industry and private property ownership will be heard by our elected officials
The Hall of Fame recognizes dedicated members whose RPAC investments total an aggregate of at least $25,000. Members were inducted at member meetings in May in Washington, D.C. and are recognized with a lapel pin, an inscription of their name on a plaque on the National Association of REALTOR®’s Washington, D.C. building rooftop, and a plaque commemorating their support.
Lisa Suarez joined Tucson Association of REALTORS® in 1988 and has supported RPAC for the past 18 years. Her successful background includes over 25 years experience in property sales and management, as well as the critical areas of legal proceedings and real estate standards and practices. Suarez owns and operates one of Southern Arizona’s leading property management companies.
Suarez’s service at the local, state and national levels include: the 2009 President of the Tucson Association of REALTORS®, 2017 President of the Tucson REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, and appointed by Governor Napolitano to the Real Estate Advisory Board in 2003, serving seven years, and appointed by National Association of REALTORS® as Federal Political Coordinator to Congressman Raul Grijalva from 2007 to 2014. As a community volunteer Lisa served on the Board of Directors for Casa de los Ninos from 2005-2010.
The first RPAC Hall of Fame class was inducted in 2002 and contained only 22 REALTORS®. Today, nearly 700 individuals from across the country have been inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame.
RPAC is a voluntary political action committee whose membership consists of REALTORS® and affiliates interested in actively and effectively protecting the real estate industry and the dream of homeownership by participating in government affairs at the local, state and federal levels. Although RPAC does not back political parties and does not get involved in presidential politics, it does back congressional candidates who have strong records of supporting homeownership and private property rights.
