Literacy Connects purchased the property at 200 E. Yavapai Rd for $375,000 ($25 PSF) which includes a building of +/-14,921 SF on approximately 4 acres of land.  The building will be remodeled to accommodate the organization’s: Literacy Connects, Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, Reach Out and Read, Reading Seed, and Stories that Soar.

Literacy Connects was founded in July 2011 by the merger of five literacy organizations. The merger created a powerful voice to promote literacy in all its forms and was based on the belief that by working together we can create the kind of community in which we all want to live.

As part of Literacy Connects, each program is part of a literacy movement that creates opportunities and resources to support the learning goals of individuals in our community.

Literacy Connects is about how we – as individuals, neighborhoods, organizations and businesses – share a human connection around literacy that helps each of us learn, grow and have a voice. Together, we are developing more resources, serving more people, doing more good, and accomplishing more than ever before.
