Marc Lebowitz Named new CEO of Tucson Association of REALTORS®

TUCSON – Marc Lebowitz, CEO of the Ada County Association of REALTORS® in Boise, Idaho, has been named the new chief executive of the Tucson Association of REALTORS® (TAR).  He will bring 20 years of REALTOR® association management experience to TAR, including service on several committees and task forces at the national level.

For the past eight years, Lebowitz was CEO of the Ada County Association of REALTORS® (ACAR).  Previously, he was with the Virginia Association of REALTORS® for 12 years.  At the National Association of REALTORS® level, he is 2016 Chair of the Association Executives Committee.

“Marc’s deep industry experience, proven leadership, and national connections were key factors in our decision.  He offers us managerial expertise for our TAR staff, a fresh perspective for our members, and understands the market factors that affect home buyers,” said Nicole Brule-Fisher, 2015 TAR President.

Lebowitz replaces Philip Tedesco who resigned to become CEO of the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS®.  Lebowitz’s start date is to be in mid-February.

Lebowitz graduated from the University of Maryland and began his career at CBS as an Assistant Director for news operations.  He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1998 and the REALTOR® Certified Executive (RCE) designation in 2009.  In May 2014, he was inducted into NAR’s Bud Smith Leadership Society— the highest honor for a REALTOR® association executive.

“My priorities for TAR will be twofold:  to help consumers understand the role and value that REALTORS® bring to their individual transactions; and to direct the resources of the association to the best advantage of the TAR members,” Lebowitz said.

Lebowitz said on Facebook that he will be moving to Tucson in mid-February.
