PHOENIX, ARIZ. (August 15, 2025) – NAI Horizon’s Church Realty Solutions team facilitated the sale of Riverside Baptist Church in Phoenix to another church in the same submarket, enabling the buyer to accommodate its growing congregation.

Senior Vice President Thomas Smith of NAI Horizon’s Church Realty Solutions team represented Riverside Baptist Church in the $2.95 million sale of the property at 1050 E. Baseline Road in Phoenix’s South Mountain Village.

Pastor Bob Pogue, who led the Riverside congregation in purchasing the site and constructing the facilities 26 years ago, has overseen a vibrant, flourishing church with impactful community outreach programs. He will soon relocate his ministry to the East Valley.

“One great aspect of the sale, besides setting a record per square foot price for this submarket, is that the buyer is another nearby church that is rapidly growing and anticipates even greater growth and success on their new campus,” Smith said. “This is just one example of renewed faith expanding throughout the Valley.”

Built in 1999, Riverside Baptist Church totals 9,680 SF on 3.5 acres. The property offers large dining facilities, pastoral offices, spacious classrooms, and welcoming fellowship areas both indoors and outdoors.

The buyer, Arizona Church of God, acquired the property for the benefit of Life Church at South Mountain, led by Pastor Dalton May. Joe Fragoso with HomeSmart represented the buyer.
