Tucson, AZ – A combination Japanese-Chinese restaurant leased approximately 4,800-square-feet of retail space at 88 E. Broadway in the TEP headquarters building. The as-yet-unnamed restaurant will be owned by Bin An.

The modern eatery, featuring Head Chef Masato Okamoto, will have about 160 seats available inside, with another 80 seats on the 2,500-square foot patio.

Next door will be a showroom for Atmosphere Commercial Interiors, which has leased approximately 3,000-square-feet. Atmosphere is the licensed Steelcase dealer for the state of Arizona and provides furnishings for corporate, education, healthcare, sports, and hospitality spaces around the country, including furnishing the TEP headquarters.

Construction is expected to start in September for both businesses, and both are expected to open in early 2017.

Buzz Isaacson with CBRE Tucson office is the broker for the landlord. Michael Laatsch, also at CBRE Tucson, represented Bin An. Paul Hooker with Cushman & Wakefield PICOR represented Atmosphere.

“The timing is perfect for both of these tenants with the continued revitalization of Downtown, especially Caterpillar’s new office and the AC Marriot hotel.” said CBRE’s Isaacson.
