No boring Year in Review for CCIM in Tucson

The Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter is holding a No Boring Year in Review luncheon on December 8^th. Instead of boring, the intellectual giants at Larsen Baker will present Feud for Commercial Realtors. Yes, the popular American game show, Family Feud, will be coming to the 2015 Commercial Real Estate Year in Review for Tucson.

George Larsen, CCIM, will be the Family Feud game show host and audience warmup man. Larsen, one of the chapter’s founding members since 1982, is also co-owner of Larsen Baker in Tucson and an emeritus senior instructor in the CCIM Institute.

Melissa Lal, CCIM, the brain child of this event and also with Larsen Baker, has all the buzzers, gongs, graphics and prizes needed to make it all succeed.

Just like on TV, Feud for Commercial Realtors features contestants from two different teams competing to show off their knowledge and win prizes. The CCIM adaptation of Feud begins with the teams being introduced, seated opposite each other as if posing for family portraits, after which Larsen, standing in for Rubin Ervin, interviews them and asks questions. Each round begins with a toss-up between two opposing players. Ties are broken in favor of the player who buzzes in first. Well you get the idea. What better way to say farewell to 2015.

The audience will thrill over the competition lineup this year, as ‘Team CBRE’ vs ‘Team PICOR’ followed by the epic struggle between old CCIMs, “Team Geezers” vs the vibrant new millennial CCIMs,“Team Stoners”. But that’s not all, the ULI Brainiac Team vs the UofA / Eller College “C” Students Team will be on hand to feud over what the heck really happened this year. You won’t want to miss any of the entertainment!

Tensions are already running high in the real estate community, anticipating a robust competition to take place. The teams are preparing for year end, but for every challenger who delivers, there’s another who has to choke, and the top-tier team triumphs in the end.

This year’s vetting of Feud for Commercial Realtors questions is provided by the (yet to be) award winning staff of the Real Estate Daily News and RED Comps. All the subscribers of the Real Estate Daily News are encouraged to attend this entertaining review of 2015.

The Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter of approximately 150 members focuses on commercial real estate, and will also be installing its 2016 board of directors at this meeting.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and all the weirdness starts to happen around 12:00 on Tuesday, December 8^th at the Tucson Association of Realtors building at 2445 N Tucson Blvd in Tucson. Fox Restaurants is catering the lunch. The cost is only $25 per person.
