PIMA COUNTY, Arizona –Licensing a pet with Pima Animal Care Center just got a lot easier. The shelter is now using DocuPet as a licensing system, offering colorful and unique ID tag options, and a free lost pet service with the registration.
Every Pima County dog license comes equipped with DocuPet’s HomeSafe™ 24/7 lost pet service. Each license tag is assigned a unique code on the back, which is linked directly to that pet’s secure online profile, making it easy for anyone who finds a lost pet to reference the unique code and create a Found Pet Report in seconds. Pet owners may also create Lost Pet Reports directly from their account as soon as they realize their pet has gone missing. DocuPet’s dedicated dispatch staff is available 24/7 and has been able to reunite thousands of lost pets with their families through this service.
“Our main priority is to keep lost pets out of shelters and return them to their families quickly if they become lost. Our effective pet identification program is the cornerstone of DocuPet, and incredibly important for the welfare of pets. We are looking forward to helping Pima County dogs get home safe,” Grant Goodwin, CEO of DocuPet, said.
“We are excited to bring Pima County residents the simplicity and added benefits that come along with DocuPet,'' Monica Dangler, Director at Pima Animal Care Center, said. “In Pima County, all dogs must have an official license alongside their valid rabies vaccination, and we are thrilled to make this process quicker, easier, and more valuable for residents.”
Through the new licensing process, residents have the option to select a standard license tag at no additional charge or may upgrade to one of DocuPet’s designer tag styles for $15. Each DocuPet tag, standard or designer, doubles as a dog’s official license in Pima County. In addition, 20 percent of every designer tag purchase is donated to Friends of Pima Animal Care Center, helping to provide crucial funding for local animals in need.
DocuPet is offering a $5 discount on designer tags for Pima County residents to celebrate the new partnership. Browse hundreds of tag styles and enter the promo code WELCOME5 at checkout. Pet owners can learn more, register, and renew their pet license online at pimacounty.docupet.com.
