TUCSON, Ariz. (September 28, 2026) — Paramium Technologies, a Tucson-based space technology company will celebrate a major milestone in the development of its satellite communications technology with the Magnum™ Antenna Ribbon Cutting Gala on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Tucson, Arizona.

This event will celebrate the unveiling of Paramium’s first Magnum™ antenna and the next phase of the company’s mission to make satellite connectivity and ground station services more accessible, scalable, and easier to use.

Paramium Technologies is developing a Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) network designed to allow satellite operators the ability to remotely schedule access to ground station antennas and receive data from satellites without having to build and maintain their own extensive ground infrastructure. The company’s web-based platform is designed to make scheduling satellite communications as simple as scheduling a meeting online.

From University of Arizona Research to Commercial Space Technology – Paramium was founded in 2019 by University of Arizona researcher Dr. Justin Hyatt to commercialize innovative antenna reflector manufacturing technology developed through university research. Now they have evolved that technology into a new approach to satellite ground stations.

Having recently graduated from the University of Arizona Center for Innovation and expanded its operations to the UA Tech Park, Paramium is commissioning its first Magnum™ antenna. This expansion represents an important milestone in moving the technology from research and development toward commercial deployment.

A New Approach to Building Satellite Ground Stations – Magnum™ antennas incorporate several patent-pending technologies. The novel bowl-shape allows the antennas to communicate across multiple frequency bands. This allows the Magnum™ network to receive data from legacy, new, and future satellites across all channels. To accomplish this, Magnum™ antennas have a stationary hemispherical reflector. Inside the dish, multiple robotic arms steer radio receivers that each cover a different section of the spectrum.

Also, an innovative, origami-inspired structural design uses folded sheet-metal components to simplify manufacturing and assembly. This method is intended to allow hundreds of antennas to be produced and deployed more rapidly than traditional ground station structures. Paramium has partnered with Hastings HVAC, Inc., a Nebraska-based sheet-metal fabrication company, to manufacture components for its Magnum™ antennas. Combining precision fabrication with a design that helps simplify assembly and supports future mass production is the manufacturing approach employed.

The antennas also employ proprietary technologies for reflector panel fabrication and closed-loop steering mechanisms.

Paramium’s broader strategy is to create a standardized network of ground stations capable of supporting the growing number of satellites requiring access to Earth-based communications infrastructure. Magnum™ antenna deployments are the first step in that process.

“We saw the huge need to get data down from LEO satellites. Other GSaaS companies were trying to sell time on assortments of legacy antennas. We knew there was a better way,” said Dr. Justin Hyatt, CEO of Paramium Technologies.

Building the Infrastructure for the Next Generation of Space – Growing rapidly is the number of satellites operating in orbit, increasing the demand for ground infrastructure capable of receiving and processing the data collected by those spacecrafts. Paramium’s goal is to address this challenge by developing a network of standardized antennas that can be accessed remotely by satellite operators.

“The first Magnum™ antenna is more than an antenna,” said Hyatt. “It represents years of research, engineering, manufacturing development, and collaboration coming together in one system. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the people and organizations that helped us get here and to share where we are going next.”

Paramium is currently accepting applications for early access to the Magnum™ network as it moves toward broader availability.

Ribbon Cutting Event –
The Magnum™ Antenna Ribbon Cutting Gala will bring together members of the Southern Arizona business and technology community, aerospace and satellite industry professionals, University of Arizona representatives, investors, partners, and supporters of Paramium’s technology.
