Institutional Property Advisors Completes Sale of Attainable Housing Asset in Scottsdale, Arizona

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., – Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), announced the sale of Cabana on Hayden, an 89-unit multifamily asset in Scottsdale, Arizona. The $30.075 million sale price equates to $337,921 per unit.

“Scottsdale’s first and only purpose-built for renters in one of the region’s most highly sought-after locations,” said Steve Gebing, IPA executive managing director. Gebing and Cliff David, fellow IPA executive managing director, represented the seller, Greenlight Communities and procured the buyer.

Completed in 2021, the property’s central Phoenix-area location provides immediate access to Scottsdale’s high-profile employment corridors, Downtown Phoenix, Sky Harbor International Airport, and the Southeast Valley. Nearby North Tempe and Papago Park are home to Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon and State Farm, and Arizona State University’s presence in Tempe attracts new businesses and partnerships such as SkySong, the 1.2 million-square-foot ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center.

Rep. David Schweikert to headline REIAC Southwest’s Signature Event at Westin Kierland on Dec. 16

PHOENIX, ARIZ. – REIAC Southwest is pleased to announce that Arizona Congressman David Schweikert will be the featured speaker at its 2021 Signature Event Dec. 16 at the Westin Kierland, 6902 E. Greenway Parkway in Scottsdale.

The event begins at 3:30 p.m. with registration and networking. The program begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by a networking reception at 5:30 p.m.

Rep. Schweikert, who represents the 6th District of Arizona, is serving his sixth term in the U.S. Congress. He holds a seat on the Ways and Means Committee, having previously served on the Financial Services Committee. He also sits on the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, serving as the Senior House Republican Member, Co-Chairs the Valley Fever Taskforce, is the Republican Co-Chair of the Blockchain Caucus, Co-Chair of the Tunisia Caucus, and Co-Chair of the Tele Health Caucus.

Cold Stone Creamery Franchisee Sells Four Stores in Tucson, AZ

TUCSON, AZ- Lisa Gies, a 22-year franchise operator of four Cold Stone Creamery stores in Tucson, AZ has sold her stores to new franchisee, Wild Spirit Ice Cream, LLC. The four franchised locations included in this transaction are:

  • 1927 E. Speedway Boulevard,
  • 5870 E Broadway Boulevard,
  • 9565 E 22nd Street, and
  • 7113 E. Tanque Verde Road, all in Tucson.

This transaction closed on October 27, 2021.
