PHOENIX, Ariz. (Aug. 27, 2026) – Transcend Security Solutions, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing private security companies, is proud to announce the promotion of Michael “Mike” Hulsebos from Director of Operations to Vice President of Field Operations.

Hulsebos began his career with Transcend in December 2014 as a security professional. During his nearly 12 years with the company, he has served in virtually every level of field operations, gaining firsthand knowledge of the people, responsibilities, and operational standards required to deliver exceptional security services.

His progression from frontline security professional to executive leadership reflects his commitment to Transcend, its clients, and the security professionals he helps lead. Throughout his career, Hulsebos has developed a reputation for being dependable, solutions-oriented, and willing to step into any role necessary to support the company and its clients.

Hulsebos will provide executive leadership for Transcend’s field operations. His responsibilities will include strengthening operational consistency, supporting field leadership, improving service quality, driving accountability, and ensuring that Transcend’s security professionals receive the leadership and resources necessary to succeed.

“Mike’s promotion is particularly meaningful because he represents what is possible at Transcend,” said Shawn Crane, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Transcend Security Solutions. “He began as a security professional and earned every opportunity that followed through hard work, loyalty, and a willingness to learn every part of our operation. Mike understands the challenges our security professionals face because he has personally performed the work. That experience gives him tremendous credibility as a leader, and I am extremely proud to see him become our Vice President of Field Operations.”

Hulsebos’ promotion also reinforces Transcend’s commitment to developing leaders from within the organization. His career demonstrates that a security professional can build a lasting career, assume increasing levels of responsibility, and ultimately earn a place on the company’s executive leadership team.

“This promotion is about more than a new title,” Crane added. “Mike’s journey is a powerful example for every person at Transcend. Where someone starts does not determine how far they can go. Performance, character, commitment, and a desire to grow can create extraordinary opportunities.”

As Vice President of Field Operations, Hulsebos will play a central role in advancing Transcend’s commitment to operational excellence and ensuring that the company continues providing professional, accountable, and proactive security services as it grows into new markets.

Although Hulsebos will now serve as a member of Transcend’s Executive Leadership Team and contribute to the company’s strategic planning and decision-making, his current responsibilities will remain unchanged. He will continue leading Field Operations and overseeing the same operational priorities, teams, and initiatives he manages today.

This promotion expands his influence within the organization and recognizes the leadership he already provides; it does not remove him from the day-to-day operational work where his experience, judgment, and relationships continue to deliver significant value.

A native of Phoenix, Hulsebos is a member of ASIS International, the world’s largest association for security management professionals. His involvement with ASIS reflects his ongoing commitment to professional development and industry excellence.

Outside of work, Hulsebos enjoys motorsports, automotive fabrication, four-wheeling, hiking, and building projects of all kinds. He has always enjoyed working with his hands, learning new skills, and taking on new challenges. Most importantly, he values spending time with his family.

Phoenix maintains No. 20 position while AI and advanced industries continue to reshape the tech workforce

PHOENIX  (August 26, 2026) – Phoenix ranked No. 20 among North America’s leading technology-talent markets in CBRE’s 2026 Scoring Tech Talent report, maintaining its 2025 ranking as the region continues to attract investment in semiconductors, data centers, advanced manufacturing and other high-growth industries

CBRE’s annual report analyzes 75 U.S. and Canadian markets and ranks the top 50 by their ability to attract, retain, and grow highly skilled technology workers. This year’s report highlights the continued impact of artificial intelligence on talent demand and workforce development.

“Phoenix continues to demonstrate the fundamentals that employers value most: a large and diverse talent pool, a growing pipeline of tech graduates, a strong advanced-manufacturing ecosystem and a cost profile that remains competitive relative to many coastal markets,” said Kevin Calihan, executive vice president at CBRE. “While the technology sector is evolving rapidly due to artificial intelligence and changing workforce needs, Phoenix remains well positioned to support long-term growth across semiconductors, data centers, advanced manufacturing and other innovation-driven industries.”

The report found that AI-skilled tech talent across the U.S. and Canada increased 45% year over year to 751,000 workers, while AI-related positions accounted for 31% of U.S. technology job listings as of June 2026.

Phoenix’s technology workforce remains one of the largest, just behind Austin, supported by continued investment in advanced manufacturing, semiconductor production and technology infrastructure. The region’s economic diversification and population growth continue to support long-term demand for technology talent.
