TUCSON, AZ – Barbi Reuter, Chief Operating Officer for Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, was honored in the July/August issue of Real Estate Forum Magazine as one of the nation’s 50 Top Women of Influence.
Reuter oversees C&W | PICOR’s operations, research, finance marketing, and communications activities. She also serves as associate broker and since 1992 has been one of 13 company principals. Reuter is also a national board member for the CREW Network.
“Barbi has been an invaluable asset to the company for over 30 years” said Mike Hammond, President of C&W | PICOR. “Much of our success can be directly attributed to her ability to see and react to the pace of change in our industry and position us to be at the forefront of the commercial real estate industry.”
Reuter is among a prestigious field of 50 female commercial real estate professionals to be honored. They were selected from 350 nominees. For many years an “old boys’ club,” commercial real estate is quickly filling up with women in top decision-making positions, according to the publication.
“The industry is changing, especially in the area of teaming and working in groups,” Reuter said. “There are many new successful women-owned businesses who want to see better representation at the top of the companies with which they do business. The role of women is changing to reflect the reality of the workplace.”
Reuter recently was named one of 12 Most Influential Women in Commercial Real Estate by Arizona Commercial Real Estate (AZRE) magazine. She earned a BSBM from the University of Phoenix and serves as board President for Tucson Girls Chorus, on the advisory board for Real Estate Tech News, is a member and past President of CREW Tucson, and a member of ULI, ICSC, Women Presidents Organization, Arizona Town Hall, and Greater Tucson Leadership.
