PIMA COUNTY, ARIZONA - The Pima County Board of Supervisors will hold an emergency special meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, to discuss a potential contract for transportation of asylum seekers. As part of pandemic precautions, which have prompted declarations of a public health emergency at the local, state and federal levels, the meeting will be conducted virtually.

The public may send comments electronically to [email protected]. In-person attendance by members of the public is prohibited. These conditions will be strictly enforced. Questions may be directed to the Clerk of the Board’s Office at 520-724-8449.

The board also will discuss a federal point of distribution for asylum seekers and receive an update from County administration on the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting can be viewed several ways:
