PHOENIX, AZ (January 27, 2025) — Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) hosted its annual Legislative Lunch on the Lawn event at the Arizona Capitol on Jan. 13, 2026, to talk to state leaders about the importance of supporting economic development efforts statewide.
Nearly 200 people participated in the conversations among statewide economic development leaders and state legislators to reinforce the vital role statewide economic development policies play in supporting Arizona’s long-term economic stability.
“I’m very thankful for the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues in economic development and the legislature, and to make new connections to discuss how to keep Southern Arizona and the whole state moving forward in economic development,” said Pima County Economic Development Director Heath Vescovi-Chiordi.
AAED’s focus for the meeting was its 2026 Policy Priorities.
Pima County Economic Development was a sponsor of the event, along with Salt River Project, Arizona Public Service, Arizona Builders Alliance, Arizona CDFI Network, City of Mesa Office of Economic Development, New Freedom, and First Western Trust Bank.
