Safeguard of Tucson Expands to 5656 E. Grant Road

TUCSON, AZ. – Safeguard’s Southern Arizona distributorship has leased 1,900-square-feet of office space located at 5656 E. Grant Rd, Suite 100. Brandon Rodgers of Cushman Wakefield/PICOR represented Safeguard owner Ben Korn in negotiating the five-year lease. Dave Volk of CBRE represented the landlord, HBL CPAs.

Safeguard of Tucson, one of 250 distributorships in the U.S. and Canada, has served Southern Arizona for more than 30 years. Having originally made its name in business check printing, Safeguard of Tucson has evolved into a full-service marketing and printing solutions company under Korn’s tutelage and recently became an official licensed vendor of the University of Arizona.

Korn is the second-generation owner of Safeguard’s Southern Arizona distributorship, which he purchased in 2013. According to Korn, company revenues are double today what they were ten years ago and surpassed one million dollars in sales for the first time in 2015.

“Safeguard still produces a ton of checks and forms for customers who’ve been with us from the beginning, but most of our recent growth has come from our success in providing marketing solutions, promotional products and branding services to business clients,” Korn said. “We have a small business, feet-on-the-street, face-to-face presence in the community, yet we offer our clients the advantages and buying power of a big corporation,” he added.

Having previously operated out of a home office, Korn looks forward to having a high profile commercial presence, conference space and showroom on Grant Rd in Tucson. To his current payroll of four, he expects to add outside sales reps within the next six months.
