Scott Knauer Named Senior Vice President on the Cooke Multifamily Team and Institutional Relationship Manager
Distinguished Industry Expert Joins Colliers Nationwide Team in Phoenix
PHOENIX, (Dec. 9, 2024) – Scott Knauer has been named Senior Vice President | Institutional Relationship Manager within Colliers and the National Colliers Cooke Multifamily Team. This veteran of the commercial real estate world has a history of instrumental success as Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer for Orion Residential. During his career, Knauer has directed the development, acquisition, management, and divestiture of properties valued in excess of $5 billion.

Knauer most recently served as Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer for Orion Residential, which is a company formed in collaboration with Starwood Capital that has directed acquisitions, management and repositioning of more than $2.5 billion of multi-family properties throughout the nation. He has established joint venture partnerships with several global institutions and has been involved in enhancing investor returns on a multitude of large funds. Knauer also served as Managing Director, Real Estate for Pivotal Group in Phoenix. As a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Starwood West, a Starwood Capital Affiliate, Knauer played a key role in the development of Scottsdale Waterfront, The Biltmore Mountain Estates and Legend Trails.
In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Knauer is recognized as a noteworthy speaker at top universities, real estate and finance conferences. He is a founding member of Social Venture Partners, which emphasizes philanthropic effforts in business development. Additionally, he holds positions on the boards of Doorloop and the International Cancer Advocacy Network, and is a member of the Congressional Business Commission, advocating for affordable housing, health and technology.
Knauer studied Business Administration and Economics at Arizona State University and holds a Master of Business Administratio from the University of Liverpool.
