Open ClosedConn’s Opens at Marana Marketplace This Weekend
Conn’s, Inc. (NASDAQ:CONN), opened its new 40,000-square-feet Tucson-area location, at Marana Marketplace, with a grand opening this weekend. Located at 3742 W. River Road, suite 150 at the southeast corner of Thornydale and River off I-10 in Marana, this is Conn’s second location in Tucson. Conn’s, a specialty retailer of home appliances, furniture, mattresses, consumer electronics and provider of consumer credit first opened in Tucson December 2012 at 5530 E Broadway Blvd. in approximately 33,000-square-feet. Conn’s is on a growing spurt this year, and announced plans last July to open 10-12 new locations this year. In Arizona, Conn’s already has stores in Mesa, Tempe, Phoenix and Tucson. The Texas-based company also opened a new store in Lubbock, TX the same day. The Marana store added approximately 30 jobs to the area. STOTZ Equipment to Open this Month in Marana
The former Arizona Machinery, Greenline Equipment and AA Equipment now operating as STOTZ Equipment is about to open its new 14,000-square-foot building at 9659 N Tiffany Loop, at the northwest corner of Twin Peaks & I-10 in Marana. The John Deer dealership expects to open September 15th and will be moving staff and inventory from 2020 W Gardener Lane in Tucson this week, Karen Harrington, Store Manager, told us. Mutual of Omaha Bank Opens New Northwest Branch

Men’s Warehouse Closed River/Stone – Now Open at Oracle/Wetmore

Culver’s at The Bridges Opens Next Weekend
Culver’s is will be opening at 3070 S Campbell Avenue at The Bridges on the northeast corner of Kino Blvd. and Tucson Marketplace, across from Costco, just in time for flavor of the day Georgia Peach ice cream, September 15th. The Wisconsin burger and custard chain made inroads into Tucson in 2011. The 4,500-square-foot store will be the second location for Kyle Kolsrud. His first Culver’s is at 6905 N Thornydale Road in Marana. Kolsrud purchased the 1.6 acre lot at the Bridges in April for construction of the new build-to-suit.

ICSC Conference ends well for Tucson -Two Big Box Tenants Lease 99,000 SF

Marana marketplace site planNews reported to us on the final day of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Western Division Conference in San Diego, is that two new Big Box retail stores are coming to Tucson.

Conn’s, Inc. (NASDAQ:CONN), a specialty retailer of home appliances, furniture, mattresses, consumer electronics and provider of consumer credit leased 40,000-square-feet at the Marana Marketplace, located at the southeast corner of Thornydale and River off I-10 in Marana. This will be its second location in Tucson, the first opened in December 2012 at 5530 E Broadway Blvd. in approximately 33,000-square-feet.

7125 E BroadwayReliable sources tell us that Floor and Décor also leased 59,000-square-feet for their first Tucson location at 7125 E Broadway Blvd, at the northeast corner of Broadway and Kolb. Floor and Décor is an Atlanta-based company and a leading specialty retailer of hard surface flooring and accessories. Founded in 2000, Floor and Décor offers a broad selection of ceramic, stone, wood and laminate flooring to both individual consumers as well as contractors. Floor and Décor currently operates 25 stores in 15 U.S. markets as well as its online store at www.flooranddecor.com .

Public records indicate that Floor and Décor will handle the build out of converting the store façade from two entries into one and allow for better loading dock access in rear. Floor and Décor may be open as early as the end of this year.
