Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter Names New Directors for 2017

CCIM Institute is commercial real estate’s most influential professional organization, with members closing $200 billion annually in commercial real estate deals. For more than 40 years, the Institute has been building opportunities through its respected education program, led by established practitioners. A CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. The designation process ensures that CCIMs are proficient not only in theory, but also in practice. This elite corps of CCIMs includes brokers, leasing professionals, investment counselors, asset managers, appraisers, corporate real estate executives, property managers, developers, institutional investors, commercial lenders, attorneys, bankers, and other allied professionals.

“I cannot say enough good things about the CCIM Organization and the volunteers who consistently give their time and expertise to our local chapter,” said Melissa Lal next year’s president. “My career in commercial real estate started with CCIM and has grown as a result of my involvement over the past 10 years. It is an honor for me to serve as next year’s president, to have the chance to give back to the organization that has given so much to me.”

River Road Suite 100, Tucson, AZ. Serial Grillers is a quick-service restaurant specializing in pizzas, salads, paninis, and burgers. Travis Miller started Serial Grillers in 2012 out of a food truck.  In 2013 he opened his first brick-and-mortar location at 5737 E. Speedway Blvd, while still operating his food truck. They quickly went from being take-out only in 2013, to expanding into the adjacent space to accommodate a 45-seat dining room in 2014. Earlier this year, Serial Grillers once again expanded to add a 40-handle taproom serving regional craft brews and added an additional 35 seats.  Serial Grillers has won many awards, including Tucson Weekly’s Best Food Truck of 2013 and runner-up for Best Food Truck of 2014, I Heart Radio’s Best Food Truck of 2014, was featured in Forbes as one of the nation’s Top 25 Fantastic Food Trucks, and many more.
