Maracay Homes Breaks Ground on the Lakes at Annecy in Gilbert

GILBERT, Ariz. – Maracay, a wholly owned company of the TRI Pointe Group (NYSE: TPH), celebrated the start of construction on its newest community in Gilbert, The Lakes at Annecy, a partially developed master plan community that fell dormant during the recession.

Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Brigette Peterson and other special guests joined Maracay President Andy Warren and company leaders at a ground breaking ceremony to commemorate the occasion. The event, coincidentally, followed the release of a new study revealing Gilbert as No. 1 among the nation’s 100 largest cities and towns for its ability to recover from the 2007-09 downturn.

“This is a big day, not only for Maracay, but for the entire town of Gilbert,” said Warren. “This ground breaking signifies so much more than the resurgence of a formerly distressed community. It represents the hard work and resilience of everyone in the community who has helped make Gilbert the nation’s town with the fewest signs of economic distress coming out of the recession.”

Mayor Daniels cited The Lakes at Annecy as an example of where the hundreds of new residents moving to Gilbert each month can find high-quality housing and convenience in one location. “You really can’t beat the access you have right here,” she said.

Located a mile north of the Loop 202, on the northeast corner of Val Vista and Parkview drives, the lush master-planned community was first developed in the mid-2000s with resort-style amenities, including tranquil lakes, three pool complexes, playgrounds, basketball courts and tree-lined streets. Maracay plans to open the first phase of 216 single-family homes and townhomes, ranging in size from approximately 1,020 to 2,269 square feet, in early 2019.

“The longstanding real estate adage ‘location, location, location’ absolutely rings true at The Lakes at Annecy, where the benefits of this unique setting are three-fold: nearby transportation corridors offer a quick and easy commute to jobs; dozens of restaurants and entertainment options are literally within walking distance, and the parks, lakes and mature landscaping here provide a place to relax after your short drive home from work,” said Warren.

Gilbert Vice Mayor Peterson noted how residents of the Lakes at Annecy will be able to access anything they want or need from the neighborhood’s convenient location near the SanTan Village retail district and praised Maracay for building new homes in Gilbert that are among the most energy efficient in the Valley.

All homes will be Energy Star® certified and registered with the certification goal of achieving the LEED Certified® designation from the U.S. Green Building Council. Each home also will feature the latest Smart Home technology and Maracay’s LivingSmart® program for maximum performance and cost efficiency.

Maracay Launches Rebrand to Reflect Arizona Roots

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. –  Maracay, a wholly owned company of the TRI Pointe Group (NYSE: TPH), announced today the unveiling of its new logo and branding, inspired by the Arizona landscape where Maracay planted its roots more than 25 years ago.

The new, modern logo visualizes both Maracay’s aspirations for peak excellence and the elevated lifestyle its customers seek, with a mountain ridgeline representation carved into a deep orange backdrop that celebrates the wild beauty of a desert sunset. Inspired by Arizona’s natural surroundings, the new logo uses warm desert colors with tones that uplift the environment and reinforce brand recognition in a timeless expression. The rebranding effort also shortens the company name from Maracay Homes to simply Maracay.

“As an Arizona based company, we know our market like no one else, and now our logo reflects this truth in a simple, yet distinctive way,” said Maracay President Andy Warren. “Through our journey, the company mission has remained constant. We only build in Arizona’s best locations. We deliver tailored design and superior choices. And, our team rises to the occasion. That’s never going to change. But, the way we express it will.”

Maracay worked with Greenhaus, a premier marketing and advertising agency, to develop a logo that better communicates Maracay’s position as a builder with the home-field advantage that is focused on its people, the customer experience and its approach to developing quality homes in Arizona. Maracay prides itself on building thoughtfully designed homes in premium locations throughout Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona.

For nearly three decades, Maracay has held a reputation for delivering carefully crafted, premium homes, neighborhoods and communities located in areas envied for their high-performing schools, convenient commute times and close proximity to employment hubs, entertainment districts and many other desirable amenities. Maracay Closes on $12.1 M Expansion New Home Community Avance in South Mountain

190 Homesites for $12.1 million purchase adds to Maracay’s new master-planned community Avance

PHOENIX, Ariz. –  Maracay Homes, a wholly owned company of the TRI Pointe Group (NYSE: TPH), has closed on the purchase of 190 additional homesites in the trending South Mountain submarket of Phoenix, Arizona. The $12.1 million  ($63,684 per lot) purchase represents the second phase of Maracay Homes master-planned community Avance. It’s unique location on South Mountain offers the convenience of an infill location, six miles to downtown Phoenix, with the natural recreational opportunities afforded by bordering South Mountain Park – the planet’s largest urban park.

Ryan Duncan of Nathan & Associates, Inc., brokered the transaction between Maracay and the seller, Vistal Highlands, LLC-Phase Two, an entity owned by Grayhawk Development in Scottsdale. With the addition of the 190 homesites, Maracay has nearly doubled its presence inside Avance, from 204 homesites as part of the first phase to a total of 394 homesites.

Maracay plans to develop Avance into a meticulously modern, gated community offering four new architectural styles of homes. Each design is deeply influenced by the colors, forms and natural materials of South Mountain’s iconic setting. This master-planned community will feature a full slate of adrenaline-powered amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, pool designed for both laps and leisure, seven neighborhood parks, an interconnected trail system and convenient access to the 51 miles of trails in South Mountain Park.

“We are introducing an entirely new selection of home designs that will break the mold in new-home architecture and challenge the status quo of traditional mountain living in the Valley. Bold rooflines, geometric massing and a harmonious mix of earthy elements are just some of the many features that will attract homebuyers to this new modern community,” said Maracay Homes President Andy Warren.  “We’ve carefully designed Avance to not only blend in with the unique aspects of the mountain, but maximize the panoramic views, with features like terraced homesites and expansive windows that frame the downtown Phoenix skyline and South Mountain Park.

Homebuyers will enjoy a mix of one- and two-story floor plans, ranging from 2,000-5,000 square-feet, featuring contemporary architecture that draws inspiration from iconic mid-century modern designs. Models are expected to open in early 2019.

Bordered by 14th and 7th streets on the east and west, and Dobbins Road on the north, and abutting South Mountain Park on south, Avance’s location is just six miles from downtown Phoenix, offering residents plenty of time to squeeze in an outdoor morning workout before beginning their brief commute. South Mountain Park’s 51 miles of trails allow residence of all ages and abilities to hike, mountain bike and commune with nature across its 16,000 acres.
