Governor’s Office Announces Additional Public Budget Briefings

PHOENIX — Following the release of Governor Doug Ducey’s Executive Budget and a public briefing held at the Capitol last week, the Governor’s Office announced today it will hold additional public briefings across Arizona. Next week, director of the Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting Matthew Gress will present the budget and take questions in Prescott, Flagstaff, Yuma, and Tucson.

Last week’s public budget briefing at the Capitol, which was broadcast online, can be viewed HERE.

“We want the public to be a part of the budget process and believe it’s important to take questions and hear feedback from Arizonans across the state,” said Governor Ducey. “The budget we put forward increases investments to K-12 education, protects our most vulnerable, and honors our commitment to our veterans – all while maintaining balance. I look forward to working with lawmakers and members of the public on a final budget that’s fiscally responsible and addresses the priorities Arizonans care about most.”

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the briefings.
