SVN Desert Commercial Advisors sets Record-Breaking Deal Volume in 2017

Phoenix, Arizona  SVN Desert Commercial Advisors is a full service commercial real estate brokerage firm that specializes in so many areas of commercial real estate. With over twenty licensed advisors working with the brokerage firm in central Phoenix, the year-end totals broke the 2016 records by recording another $33M in total lease and sale transactions totaling $128M for the year.

Managing Director, Perry Laufenberg stated, “Our average earnings per broker increased 72% year over year.” In 2017, the SVN franchise focused on improving the individual success plans for each of the brokers. One of the most memorable moments for Laufenberg was presenting the trophy for ‘Prospector of the Year’ to Vicente Cantua at the SVN holiday party. Laufenberg said, “I know how much effort went into that award so it was very rewarding to see him accept it.”  Desert Commercial Advisors has one of the best marketing and media presences in the valley.  Director of Marketing, Melissa Swader has twenty years of experience in marketing, design, and PR and continues to elevate the SVN franchise brand in extraordinary ways.  Recently, Swader was nationally recognized by The Broker List for her blog material regarding commercial real estate news and advisor announcements for their ‘done deals’ at the firm. “It is really important to me to share CRE news with others in the industry,” said Swader. “Collaboration comes in all forms and I enjoy all the relationships I have with our online/print magazine editors and publishers and our SVN national network. They are invaluable.”

Danny Lee, vice president investment advisor was also named Top Producer of the Year in 2017.  His continued success in the multifamily division is a constant reminder that the market is steady in Phoenix.  Director of Retail Leasing & Sales Investments, Rommie Mojahed also contributed largely to the production numbers this past year closing approximately $55M in total deal volume in combined lease and sale transactions.  Senior advisor, Justin Horwitz who mainly specializes in the office property type also closed over $30M in deals.

SVN | Desert Commercial Advisors is a locally owned and operation company that treats everyone in the office like an extension of family instead of a number in the yearly report to a group of investors at Wall Street. Laufenberg said, “We have a global brand and network with over a billion dollars in transaction volume last year, and all of the training, tools, and resources that accompany that to help provide best in class service to our clients.”

This year will be another big year for Desert Commercial Advisors.  SVN will continue to focus on the growth of the company. The local franchise has always embraced technology, inclusion, and diversity. Laufenberg said, “The values and core covenants that the company was founded on continue to be an important part of why we are with SVN.” That coupled with recruiting efforts and advanced sales training to serve their clients in every capacity will be instrumental in the growth of Desert Commercial Advisors.

SVN Desert Commercial Advisors donates to Global Health Education – Philippines 2017

Phoenix, Arizona – At SVN Desert Commercial Advisors, team building is a significant part of the company’s overall business model. Over the years, SVN has donated or sponsored many charitable events in an effort to give back to those who need assistance.

The brokerage has come together for many events including AWEE’s Cocktails & Clothes, AZCrew – Charity Golf Fundraiser benefiting Veterans First and Mary Ellen’s Place and every year, SVN has participated in the Brokers for Kids Olympiad Event benefiting Boys Hope, Girls Hope that helps provide value-centered family-like homes, better opportunities and education through college.

“To kick off our fundraising efforts in 2017, we have been collecting medical aid items for small villages in the Philippines,” said Melissa Swader, the Director of Marketing & Administration.  The Global Health Educational Program has facilitated various nursing programs across the world in an effort to provide medical aid to adults and children. Next year, nursing students from The Chamberlain College of Nursing will be participating in several trips over the next several months to the Philippines, Haiti (two trips), Kenya (two trips) and Brazil to provide medical relief to villages all across the world.

Amanda Fadgen is one of fifteen nursing students that will be traveling to the Philippines in January of 2017. All the students are from Chamberlain campuses across the nation, such as Phoenix, Miami, Tennessee, Chicago, Jacksonville and Cleveland. “Helping other countries was one of the things I enjoyed most about being in the Army and there was a void in my life upon discharge, but with nursing I have found I can once again fill that void by accompanying on international medical missionary trips such as this one.” Fadgen was selected out of hundreds of students that applied to the international 3-week program and only one of four nursing students from Phoenix. While this may be a great opportunity, this program will not be easy. The nursing students will be undergoing some physical challenges while they are abroad.  They must rise early, work long hours, and they are physically required to carry their medical supply luggage from village to village. Some of these villages are miles apart so at times, they will also be required to take long walks and/or long bus rides to get to their destination.  “For me, this trip allows me to provide medical, emotional, and therapeutic needs to those that are not as fortunate as the United States is.” Said Fadgen.  “Thank you beyond words to SVN because these medical supplies will go a very long way.”

Swader stated, “SVN will be really involved with our fundraising efforts in 2017 for different charities.” Next up will be the forthcoming Brokers for Kids Olympiad event where the real estate industry comes together to compete in outside sport challenges for the championship title. The Brokers Cup will be awarded to the brokerage team that raises the most money through raffle ticket sales and sponsorships. The annual event will be taking place early months of 2017. Soon after that SVN will be hosting their own fundraising event for the next charity in downtown Phoenix so stayed tuned.
