AMERICAN FREIGHT FURNITURE & MATTRESS TO OPEN FIRST ARIZONA LOCATION IN PHOENIX
American Freight has leased 27,434-square-feet in Plaza 75 Shopping Center located on the SEC of 75th Avenue and Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona. American Freight is a warehouse style furniture store offering name brand furniture at factory direct prices. This will be the company’s first location in Arizona. SKECHERS OPENING AT THE OUTLET AT CROSSROADS TOWNE CENTER
Brian & Tom Woods of Colliers International represented Vestar, the Landlord, on a 10-year lease with Skechers Outlet at Crossroads Towne Center at 2880-1 E. Germann Road, Chandler, AZ, 85286, Suite B-100 for 7,000-square-feet.  Adam Madison of Cushman & Wakefield represented the Tenant.  Signed in June 2017.

THE BODY TRANSFORMATION OPENS AT OLIVE AVENUE BUSINESS CENTER 
A lease for 6,210 square feet at Olive Avenue Business Center to The Body Transformation was recently consummated.  The location of the property is 9299 W Olive Ave., Peoria, AZ. Richard Mackay of Rein & Grossoehme represented the owner.

MATTRESS EXPRESS OPENS AT PLAZA 75 SHOPPING CENTER IN PHOENIX
Mattress Express has opened a 3,602-square-foot retail bedding store located at 7425 W. Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona. Mattress Express is a family-owned Mattress store based in Phoenix. Donna Reece of ZELL Commercial Real Estate Services represented the.

RUG LIQUIDATORS OPENING AT UNIVERSITY 101 SHOPS
A lease for 2,812-square-feet to Rug Liquidators in University 101 Shops was recently consummated.  The location of the property is 2155 E. University Dr. in Tempe, AZ. The owner of the center is 2155 E University, LLC.  Jared Lively of Rein & Grossoehme CRE represented both the Landlord and Tenant on this transaction.

ATHLETICO PHYSICAL THERAPY TO OPEN IN VALLEY PLAZA IN TEMPE
Athletico Physical Therapy has leased a 2,267-square-foot location in Valley Plaza at 3141 S. McClintock Drive, Suite 2 in Tempe, Arizona. A lease for 1,333-square-feet at 2701 W. Glendale to Metro PCS was recently consummated.  The location of the property is the southwest corner of Glendale Ave and 27th Ave.  The owner of the center is the Silver Family.  Jim Edwards of Rein & Grossoehme Commercial Real Estate represented the Landlord and Sean Bishop of Lee & Associates represented the tenant.

Z STYLES HAIR SALON BRINGING BEAUTY TO PLAZA DEL SOL SHOPPING CENTER IN PHOENIX

COMIKAZE AND TOYS BRINGS FUN AND GAMES TO GOODYEAR
Comikaze and Toys is now open at the NEC of Litchfield Road and McDowell Road in the Palm Valley Pavilions North Shopping Center in Goodyear, Arizona. AR Workshop will soon open its first Arizona location at 4040 W. Ray Road, Suite #D-7 in in the Copper Point Shopping Center, Chandler, Arizona. AR Workshop will offer mixed media, hands on workshops for home décor, parties, design and styling skills. Commercial Lease Report May 15-19, 2017

The following commercial leases from Tucson and Phoenix were reported to the Real Estate Daily News from May 15 thru 19, 2017.

Hobby Lobby to Open at Scottsdale 101 Center Q1 2018

Phoenix, Arizona — Velocity Retail Group’s Dave Cheatham represented Hobby Lobby Stores, in a lease at the Scottsdale 101 shopping center located at the northwest corner of Mayo Boulevard and Scottsdale Road.  The 57,500-square-foot store is expected to open in the first quarter of 2018.

The store will be adjacent to a newly designed Ashley Furniture store of approximately 44,000-square-feet.  This will be the eleventh Phoenix area location for Hobby Lobby negotiated by Cheatham.  “Hobby Lobby has expanded their store presence throughout the Phoenix area over the past several years.  North Scottsdale has been underserved, and this location fills a huge void for the northeast part of the Valley.  We continue to look for new opportunities throughout the Phoenix area,” said Cheatham.

Velocity Retail has worked with Hobby Lobby on their store locations in the Phoenix area since 2005.  Today Hobby Lobby currently operates more than 750 locations in 47 states. The company is on track to open 60 new stores nationally this year.

Sage Beauty Supply leased 1,760-square-feet of space at 820-844 E. Indian School Rd. in Phoenix, AZ. The owner of the center is Katsenes & Stamatis Partnership. Kevin Roessler of Rein & Grossoehme represented the Landlord and Tenant.

RETAIL – 5627 E 22ND ST., TUCSON, AZ
Ken and Billi Jo Koepke leased approximately 1,200-square-feet at 5627 E. 22nd Street, Tucson, Arizona, from DG Commercial, LLC.  Frank Arrotta of Tucson Realty & Trust Co. represented both the Landlord and the Tenant in the transaction.

WFG National Title Insurance signs 6,058 SF lease at 2777 E. Camelback Building
PHOENIX, AZ – JLL Vice President Chris Latvaaho, Managing Director John Bonnell and Senior Vice President Brett Abramson represented property owner DRA Advisors/Fountainhead Equity Partners. Michael Stone of The Stone Group represented WFG, a national provider of premium title insurance and settlement services to the real estate and mortgage industry. As of Q1 2016, WFG was the fastest growing national title underwriter and the nation’s sixth largest provider of title insurance.

Osaka Japanese Steakhouse Leases 5,634 SF at Crossroads Towne Center
GILBERT, AZ — Brian & Tom Woods of Colliers International represented Vestar (Landlord) on a 10 year lease with Osaka Japanese Steakhouse (Tenant) at Crossroads Towne Center at 3843 S. Gilbert Road, Gilbert, AZ, 85234 for 5,635-square-feet.  Horth Hong of NAI Horizon represented the Tenant. Signed in September 2016.

ORION Represents Global Tenant in Tempe Center
TEMPE, AZ – Taiwanese brand DaYung’s Tea recently leased a +1,400 square foot space in a heavily trafficked area of Tempe, Arizona. This is DaYung’s first store opening in North America! Established in 2001, and having over 270 stores in Asia, DaYung’s has a long history of success. It offers a healthy concept, using only natural ingredients and fresh fruit.

Judi Butterworth and Lacey Guardado of ORION Investment Real Estate represented the tenant. “We are very excited to have represented DaYung’s for their first store in the North America. This hot new concept will blend in perfectly with the other new restaurants at Mill Plaza,” says Butterworth and Guardado. “It will also be able to serve the huge Asian customer base, as well as the ASU student population,” they concluded.

The suite is located within the newly remodeled Fry’s center: Mill Plaza. The plaza includes national tenants such as Fry’s Food & Drug Store, Jack in the Box, Papa Murphy’s, UPS Store, hi-health, Great Clips, and a newly constructed Fry’s Fuel. SCOTTSDAEL, AZ — A lease for 825-square-feet in Sterling Plaza to Smooth Laser Hair Removal was recently consummated. The location of the property is 7127 E. Sahuaro Dr. in Scottsdale, AZ.  The owner of the center is Castor Plaza LLC.  Richard Mackay of Rein & Grossoehme Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant and Tom Kuffler of Civic Asset Management represented the owner.

Unique User Comes to Granada Plaza, Chandler, Arizona
CHANDLER, AZ – The Trigger Guy Gunsmithing & Sales recently leased an 800-square- foot space in Granada Plaza, located on the southwest hard corner of Alma School Road and Galveston Street. The Trigger Guy provides gunsmithing services, including repairs, modifications, total gun transformations, installing sights, scope mounting, and cleaning services. They also do custom gun work.
