Cushman & Wakefield represents landlord, Sason, in new 9,278 SF lease transaction

PHOENIX, Ariz. – (February 6, 2024) –  Cushman & Wakefield announced The West on Dunlap office project in Phoenix, Arizona has signed a new lease for 9,278 square feet (sf) with Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind (“ASDB”) for its administrative office. Owned by The Sason Organization (“Sason”), a privately controlled real estate investment firm based in Miami Beach, FL., The West on Dunlap is a two-story Class A multi-tenant office building located at 2445 W Dunlap. The property recently completed renovations including modern Class A finishes and upgraded spec suites.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Greg McMillan, Joe Vale and Tarryn Fountain represented the landlord in the transaction. JLL’s Vicki Robinson represented the tenant.

The West on Dunlap totals approximately 81,000 sf in two stories and is well located right off Dunlap at Interstate 17. The property is just steps from Light Rail, walkable to amenities and features a robust parking ratio of 6.7/1,000. The West currently has 13,011 sf of total available space, with available suite sizes ranging between 1,700 sf and 11,300 sf.

“We are excited to welcome the Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind into our building. They have an admirable mission, and we are glad that they chose our building to carry out that mission,” said Ari Sason, a principal at Sason. “In addition to being excited about signing leases at the building, we are also extremely excited about what’s to come in Metrocenter and the surrounding areas as more and more investment pours in around the Light Rail.”

“In a challenging market, Sason’s investment into renovating The West has paid off with the signing of this notable lease in a quality spec suite. This lease brings the property to a solid 84% leased,” said Director Greg McMillan. “Additionally, the property is an appealing location for employees, especially given the parking ratio and proximity to the Light Rail, and the space was able to fit within the parameters of the tenant’s requirement.”

According to its website, Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind is an agency of the State of Arizona Government, with its administrative headquarters in Tucson. ASDB serves over 2,000 children who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind from birth to grade 12.
