AAA has been evaluating hotels and restaurants annually for nearly 80 years. The company looks at businesses in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

The 2015 list shows a total of 72 hotels and restaurants that made the four or five diamond rankings by AAA. Six of the properties have been on the list for more than 20 years and two have been on for more than 30.

Tucson area has 9 Four Diamond hotels and resorts on the list and 5 of the Four Diamond Restaurants.
