Tucson, AZ – [September 20, 2024] – The Tucson Metro Chamber today released its 2024 General Election Voter Guide, highlighting key ballot items that will significantly impact business and community success in Southern Arizona.
The Chamber urges its members and Tucson voters to vote YES on Propositions 138 (Tipped Workers Protection Act), 140 (Make Elections Fair Act), and 312 (Arizona Property Tax Refund for Non-Enforcement of Public Nuisance Laws), and NO on Proposition 314 (Secure the Border Act).
"This ballot is one of the longest in recent memory, asking Arizonans across the state to weigh in on 13 varied propositions," said Chamber President & CEO Michael Guymon. "We are focusing our attention and support (or opposition) on four of those that particularly align with the Chamber's local public policy work and with our members' business needs and concerns."
"These positions reflect the pragmatism and bipartisanship of the Chamber and our members, focused on supporting good ideas and common-sense solutions wherever they exist and pushing back on those that aren't. Our members innovate every day in their businesses and don't make excuses for why things can't be improved; we believe that we should approach our public policy in the same way," Guymon explained.
