Tucson’s Most Delicious Event – Sonoran Restaurant Week! September 6-15

Tucson, AZ (August 16, 2024) – The annual Sonoran Restaurant Week, presented by Tucson Foodie and Visit Tucson, returns in September to showcase dozens of Tucson’s finest locally owned, most diverse culinary venues. Beginning on Friday, September 6th, Sonoran Restaurant Week will run through Sunday, September 15.  Throughout the 10-day event, over 100 chefs and restaurateurs will feature their culinary creations on prix fixe menus for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner priced at $25, $35, $45, or $55 (offerings to be determined by each restaurant). All have agreed to discount their offerings by at least 25%, making this one of the best ways for anyone to explore those restaurants they love or want to explore.

For those looking for a more upscale dining experience, Tucson Foodie has added a new exciting option to the schedule this year–a special dinner each night of Sonoran Restaurant Week at a restaurant hand-picked by Tucson Foodie for its excellence in food and hospitality.  Their picks for this year’s special evening dinner series include Penca, BATA, The Coronet, Feast, Chela’s, JoJo’s, Dante’s Fire, and three more TBA.

Sonoran Restaurant Week is a much-anticipated event designed for locals and visitors alike to explore Tucson’s thriving culinary scene. It also has a significant economic impact by generating revenue for businesses that typically are just coming out of the hot summer slump.

This event is important not only because it’s an opportunity for both local foodies and visitors to discover all that Tucson has to offer, but also because it drives over $3 million in additional revenue to local restaurants at a time when business is often slow,” said Shane Reiser, CEO of Tucson Foodie.

New this year is a dedicated website for Sonoran Restaurant  Week (https://www.sonoranrestaurantweek.com) that includes details on all participating restaurants, their prix fixe menus, special dinners, and an interactive map. Restaurants are highlighted on the website as those with “Sustainable Practices,” i.e. they support local sourcing, heritage foods conservation, etc., and those that are “Tucson City of Gastronomy” certified to help guide customers to locally owned, independent restaurants that are strongly connected to the local food system, use environmentally and socially responsible business practices, and keep Tucson’s food heritage alive. Menus are updated on the website daily.
