Phoenix, AZ - NAIOP Arizona has appointed Darren Pitts, executive vice president of Velocity Retail Group, LLC as a new Board member for 2016. Pitts will be joining an existing Board that includes industry leaders from all commercial sectors. Over the past year, NAIOP has focused on increasing the retail dimension within the organization and Pitts’ appointment is part of that initiative.
The Arizona Chapter has over 780 members and is the 6th largest NAIOP Chapter in the country. Tim Lawless, Chapter President for NAIOP Arizona commented “We are pleased to be able to have Darren join the Board. His reputation and expertise within the retail community and our industry is exemplary and he will be a great addition to the Arizona Chapter during the next three years of his term.”
The Arizona Chapter was named the Most Outstanding Large Chapter of the Year for NAIOP in the nation. The leadership team has had many accomplishments which also include philanthropic initiatives such as Dream Teams which feed the homeless.
