PHOENIX, AZ – Withey Morris, a prominent Arizona land use law firm for nearly 20 years, brought on father-son team Dave and Alex Baker of Baker Law Offices, expanding its range of real estate services. Dave Baker has over 25 years of experience in Arizona real estate transactions and litigation. Alex Baker specializes in real estate transactions and litigation, commercial transactions and litigation, entity formation and estate planning.

Dave, a certified real estate specialist through the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization, has worked on several high-profile Phoenix-area projects with services ranging from negotiating leases and drafting commercial documents to litigating real estate-related disputes. In addition to being one of the first Arizona lawyers to earn State Bar certification as a real estate law specialist, Dave is an Arizona’s Finest Lawyers honoree, a nine-time Super Lawyers honoree and is rated AV-Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell®. U.S. News & World Report honored Baker Law Offices as one of the “Best Law Firms in Arizona (First Tier Ranking)” for 2017. Dave earned both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from Arizona State University.

Dave is actively involved in his community and in a number of organizations. He is the Arizona attorney for the American Youth Soccer Organization. His involvement also includes the State Bar of Arizona, Maricopa County Bar Association, the Community Associations Institute, the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce, the Carefree/Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce and the Tempe Chamber of Commerce.
Law runs deep in the family. In addition to Dave’s son and partner Alex, Dave’s other attorney relatives include his daughter, older brother, sister-in-law and his niece. Outside of practicing law, he enjoys spending most of his spare time with his four grandkids, attending many youth sports events and traveling to Flagstaff.
Alex Baker has represented clients in a variety of matters, including commercial transactions, commercial lease negotiations, litigation involving residential and commercial real estate, commercial and residential real estate transactions and financing documentation, limited liability company (LLC) and corporate formation, construction disputes, property tax liens and property tax appeals. Additionally, Alex is lead counsel certified in real property matters.
Alex is a two-time Super Lawyers Rising Stars selectee. Rising Stars recognition is for younger lawyers (under age 40 or fewer than 10 years of experience) and selection is limited to just 2.5% of eligible Arizona attorneys. A Phoenix native, Alex earned both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from Arizona State University. Alex’s professional and community involvement include the State Bar of Arizona, the Scottsdale Bar Association and the Carefree/Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce. Alex, his wife and two children live in Cave Creek.
