EL MIRAGE, Ariz.- 3 Amigos Tequila was awarded the highly coveted Platinum Medal and Consumer's Choice Award for its Organic Blanco Tequila at the sixth annual Spirits International Prestige (SIP) Awards competition held in Dana Point, CA in late April of this year. Additionally, this year's competition awarded 3 Amigos a Gold Medal for its Reposado tequila. This marks the third year 3 Amigos Tequila has brought home honors from the critically acclaimed SIP Awards.
The SIP Consumer's Choice Award is presented to spirits brands that demonstrate the ultimate in quality to consumers year after year. This honor is reserved for brands that place (bronze or better) two consecutive years. The annual SIP Awards avoid industry bias by using actual consumers as its testers. The 2014 competition saw over 400 spirits brands competing for SIP Medals which were awarded to the top consumer's spirits of choice. Although hundreds of brands entered the competition, only brands with the highest scores received honors from the panel of 70 judges.
3 Amigos Tequila also took home a Best in Show Award and Double Gold Medal for its Anejo tequila at the 14th annual San Francisco World Spirits Competition held in San Francisco in late March of this year.
This renowned international spirits competition received the largest number of entries in its history. Distillers and importers submitted 1,474 spirits from 41 states and 63 countries into 89 different classifications.
